Dr. Golden has had extensive post-graduate education in the specialty
of orthodontic tooth movement. Early in his career he saw the need
for integrating tooth movement to achieve successful restorative
results.
Frequently
we see patients who need a multi-phased restorative treatment plan
that includes minor, and sometimes major orthodontic correction.
When the bite is so far off that major corrective measures are necessary,
we usually refer these cases to a competent orthodontist. If minor
tooth movement is required for children, young adults, or adults,
we'll accomplish that here in the office. Whether it requires removable
or fixed appliances, or a combination of both, we use whatever is
necessary to get the job done.
Before - and after 22 months in fixed edgewise appliances.

A
combination of a functional removable appliance and fixed appliances
were used to correct an uneven growth rate between the jaws and
crowded dental arches of this patient. Total active treatment time
was approximately two years. The lower photos were taken after one
year in retainers.
